Hi Math peeps! Thanks for stopping by. I see you are curious to see what we're up to next week. Here's what you need to know to make it through.
Pre-Calculus: We will continue learning about Parabolas on Monday. We will then move on to Ellipses and Hyperbolas, followed by a quiz on Thursday. Note that our quiz will include no transformations of the above mentioned. We will apply transformations starting on Friday. Geometry: Per our calendar, we will cover transformations and have our first test on Friday! Remember that you should be working on the review packet every night. Have a great weekend! Mrs. Izquierdo Hi there! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog :)
This is where I'll be posting about upcoming quizzes/tests from week to week. You will need to click on your specific class link at the top of this page to access daily notes and the such. I hope you've had a restful break because come Thursday we are jumping right in! Looking forward to meeting you, Mrs. Izquierdo Well here it is! You have made it to the finish line! Here's what's going on next week:
Pre-Calc: Answer key to Final review is under your class page. We will play Trivia on Monday and you'll take your Final on Tuesday. H. Geo: You will have all day Monday to work on the Unit 9 Review. 2nd block takes their test Tuesday and 3rd block takes it Wednesday. Have a wonderful weekend! Happy Holidays and an even Happier New Year! Mrs. Izquierdo 6 days and 2 halves! Here's what you need to know to make it through:
Pre-Calc: You have 2 lessons left! We will review on Wednesday and Test over Vectors on Thursday. That will leave us reviewing for the Final and then taking the Final :) H. Geometry: We will resume probability on Monday (thank you weather). You will have your Unit 9 test on "Finals" day. Enjoy your snowy weekend! I will not be tutoring Wednesday morning 12/6 due to the EOC. Also, Pre-Calculus, your quiz is pushed to Thursday or Friday depending on how tomorrow goes.
Plan ahead: I will not be tutoring any afternoons next week. You're getting close! Here's what you need to know to finish strong:
Pre-Calculus: We're continuing with Vectors on Monday. You'll have a quiz on Wednesday. H. Geometry: Your Unit 8 test is Monday followed by the EOC on Wednesday! Don't forget to go through the resources list posted under your class' page. The GA virtual and usatestprep are great for Unit 9 (probability). 18 days left (we only see each other for 17)! Here's what's happening:
Pre-Calc: We will start our Vectors unit upon your return Monday. We will take a short break Wed-Fri to work on a STEAM Project which involves Conic sections. You'll be designing a flower with petals made out of conics. Get your creative juices flowing now! Pinterest anyone? Honors Geometry: EOC review stuff is on my blog (you picked up review guide and list of resources before you left for break). Don't forget to COMPLETE the review guide. I expect answers on the answer document and work on a separate paper (stapled to your packet). According to Unit 8 calendar we are testing on Friday 12/1... but that is your Biology EOC day. Stay tuned (we will most likely postpone to 12/4). Your Geometry EOC is on 12/6 all morning! If you haven't yet, make sure you are scheduling retakes. Last day to take one is 12/1. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. Get some rest and come back ready to finish strong. You're getting close to the finish line! Here's what you need to know to survive the week before Thanksgiving Break!!!
Pre-Calculus: we need to shift all 4 conics and do some re-writing of equations. We will test on Thursday. H. Geometry: Unit 7 Test on Monday. You'll have a quiz over the new stuff on Friday. I'll be leaving you with EOC review stuff to do over the break. If you're planning to retake a test (or 2), make sure you are scheduling with me in advance. Per my syllabus, you have until Dec. 1st. Finish Strong! Happy Weekend! Here's what you need to know for next week.
Pre-Calculus: Quiz on Friday. H. Geometry: Quiz on Monday and on Friday. Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. Here's what you need to know to survive next week:
- I will NOT be tutoring on Tuesday afternoon this week. Pre-Calculus: while I am out on Monday, you will be working on Part 2 of the Midterm review (which is really just some problems from Unit 4). My answer key is already posted under your class tab. I also printed it and attached it to the whiteboard in my classroom. If you finish early, I also left Part 1 of the Midterm review with the sub. You'll have time after your test on Tuesday to work on that part of the review and it is due Wednesday. We will play Trivia on Thursday as a review and finally your Midterm will be on Friday. H. Geometry: while I am out on Monday, you will be learning circle vocab and practicing some constructions. My notes are already posted under your class tab. The sub will know you can be on your phone to fill out your notes. I also printed a copy and posted in on the whiteboard in my classroom. DO NOT REMOVE MY NOTES FROM THE WHITEBOARD. I have also posted the Unit 6 Calendar under your class tab. The sub should be giving you a hard copy on Monday. You will notice per the calendar that your next "hefty" quiz is on Monday 10/23. Have a great weekend! |
